Palissy Briefcase

I recently purchased the Palissy Briefcase - Cognac from Carl Friedrik, and this is my second purchase from the company. My first experience with Carl Friedrik was fantastic—the quality of their products was excellent, and the pricing felt justified for what they offered. Unfortunately, this time around, my experience has been a bit disappointing.

Pros:

Elegant Design: The briefcase still boasts a sleek and professional look. The Cognac color is rich and visually appealing, perfect for business settings.

Spacious Interior: It offers ample space to fit a laptop and other essentials comfortably, making it practical for daily use.

Italian Vegetable-Tanned, Vachetta Leather: The leather itself feels durable and has a luxurious finish, consistent with Carl Friedrik's reputation.

Cons:

Price Increase: The price has gone up significantly since my first purchase. While I expected some inflation, the new pricing feels steep, especially considering the drop in quality.

Strap Quality: My biggest disappointment lies in the strap. It looks and feels cheap, which detracts from the otherwise premium appearance of the bag. Given the price point, I expected a strap that matched the quality of the rest of the briefcase.

Overall Quality Dip: Compared to my first purchase, this briefcase doesn’t feel as well-crafted. While the stitching is still good, other details, such as hardware quality, seem less refined than before.
