Journey to Antarctica

The Check-in

Attendees visited Point Wilde, where Sir Ernest Shackleton’s Endurance expedition was trapped for four months in 1916, engaged with local wildlife and experienced the seas below from one of two onboard submersibles.
The odyssey was spearheaded by luminaries such as actor William Shatner, renowned astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, moonwalker Charlie Duke and award-winning journalist Ann Curry, who provided talks to the 260 passengers on the ultra-luxurious expedition vessel.
